When we imagine self care and looking after yourself, we often think of 5am yoga and smoothie bowls. But that doesn’t work for everyone. For me, looking after myself is as simple as letting myself have a lie in for as long as my body needs, or skipping the gym after a long day at work to make sure I’m not burnt out for the rest of the week.

The most important thing is to do what is healthy and good for you, and not let anyone make you feel guilty about the way you look after yourself – you know you the best! Take me and the gym for example. I try and go about 4 times a week, but if I’ve been at work and then have a long list of other stuff to do when I’m home, I just decide to skip and get what I need to do done.
